Breakthrough Vaccine - Monkeys are completely protected against Dengue Fever by GenPhar's tetravalent Dengue Virus vaccine.
A tetravalent dengue vaccine based on a complex adenovirus vector provides significant protection in rhesus monkeys against all four serotypes of dengue virus.

J Virol. 2008 Jul;82(14):6927-34. Epub 2008 May 14.
More than 100 million Dengue Fever infections occur each year and a dengue viruses vaccine has become a global health priority - GenPhar has now developed a safe and effective vaccine against all four Dengue virus serotypes.  GenPhar has been working in close collaboration with the US Naval Medical Research Center.  The CAdVax based vaccine induces rapid and sustained protective immune responses in monkeys against two separate live-virus challenges. These results demonstrate that the tetravalent dengue vaccine formulation provides significant protection in rhesus macaques against challenge with all four dengue virus serotypes.
