av-toxx™

GenPhar's AV-Toxx™ is a cell based toxicity testing service for antiviral drugs. We use recommendations from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on cells to be tested. These recommendations currently cover compound testing for hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Cytotoxicity testing panels may currently include:

Human Primary Cell Cultures
• Hepatocytes
• PBMCs - stimulated (PHA, Con A, etc.)
• PBMCs - unstimulated

Human Tumor Cell Lines (partial listing)
• Molt-4
• Hut-78
• HeLa
• HepG2
• Hep.2.2.15

Other primary cell cultures and cell lines may be added at the customer’s request.

Cytotoxicity testing panels can be modified to accommodate specific customer requests for testing compounds other than antiviral drugs using FDA recommendations.
